WHO Are We and WHY Do We Think We Are Special?

My name is Kacey. I have a Spawn. I’m a super awesome Travel & Executive Assistant who has decided to take this show virtual. Spawn is… Spawn. And super awesome at everything.

I also think I’m fraking hilarious and I hope I can capture that in writing. I will use a lot of pop culture references that may need to be researched (i.e. “Frak”). You can count on lameness, but it’ll make you smile. ESPECIALLY the Mom jokes. We all LOVE the Mom jokes!
Did I mention that I have 20 years of experience planning travel for others? 

WHAT the HELL are we doing?

We have no fraking clue. But who does? I mean, really! We have watched a few YouTube videos and consider ourselves semi-pros now. *Insert maniacal laugh here* Side note… I have also searched the depths of Pinterest and I’m tired of iddy biddy teenie weenie pictures of “Top 10/100 Organizational Ideas.”
Then... One day, I had a crazy idea… “Hey! I love researching and planning our trips! Wouldn’t it be awesome if I got paid to do this for us and for others?!?” and “Wouldn’t it be funny to document all of the crazy Griswald events that happen on our trips?”


When-EVER

We tend to plan mostly by the seat of our pants. For me, the ultimate planner and organizer (I am a calendar wiz for Execs, you know), this can be… Exciting (stressful). I love it! *Insert another maniacal laugh here* Some trips, like Burning Man, takes MONTHS of preparation and reference to everything done in previous years.

Where-EVER

From the beaches of Southern California, to the deserts of Arizona, to the mountains of Colorado and the open space of Wyoming (oh, and Burning Man), we are very excited to go wherever we get a chance. Thinking up North, or maybe down South after hurricane season... Wanna go for a ride? Just kidding… We don’t have the space. BUT, we invite you to check out our site. Click on a few links. It is with great excitement (and a little anxiety, I'm not going to lie) that we announce the change of our name from Rock'N'Roll Trailer Adventures to The Adventure of Spawn and Her Mom ! We are working on our social platforms, i.e. Facebook and Instagram. Those of you who were already following can still view, but we are currently in privacy mode as we work through the kinks. Happy 2023!

Welcome back to www.rnrta.com! So... 2022 happened. As mentioned in the last post (ONE YEAR AGO) we have pretty much transitioned over to social media. But, sometimes I get in a mood where I feel like sharing. Welcome to the couch. Check out the Intsa , but no Tweets this year. I don't think so anyways...  Facebook ? Go for it! Still alive and old over there.  Spawn is now in Kindergarten. Cabana Boy is rocking locally again. And I have a new permanent gig. When we travel, it's usually just myself and Spawn. Cabana Boy will travel with us locally.  Oh! How could I forget The Boys! Welcome Riggs and Murtaugh! Another reason we didn't travel a whole lot this year. These two became part of the family and we had to keep them quarantined until they has all their shots. Still working on those True Reviews, but head on over to our socials and catch up.  Cabana Boy won the "BEST" decorated campground! Finally. Tee hee!

Whoa! What Do You Mean It's 2022?!?

 Howdy, everybody! I have no idea where the rest of 2021 went... Oh wait... I do remember! I took the advice of the youngin's and went to a social media platform. I don't find it nearly as exciting as writing for the blog. Does that make me officially old? Yup. And lazy too. I barely even kept up with the Intsa or the Tweets. Facebook ? Well, I feel like I did much better there.  Let me share a couple of things that we accomplished over the remainder of 2021 through the sharing of images. We became  certifiable  with our brand new business cards! In June, Spawn and I went on a Girl's Only trip through Utah and Colorado. We met up with some family here and there, but the roads were narrow, winding and sparsely populated. Until we got to the National Parks. You would've thought is was Black Friday with the crowds. Luckily, Spawn managed to fall asleep EVERY SINGLE TIME we got to monuments. So, I didn't feel guilty driving though slowly and goose necking out the windo...
