Whoa! What Do You Mean It's 2022?!?

Howdy, everybody! I have no idea where the rest of 2021 went... Oh wait... I do remember! I took the advice of the youngin's and went to a social media platform. I don't find it nearly as exciting as writing for the blog. Does that make me officially old? Yup. And lazy too. I barely even kept up with the Intsa or the Tweets. Facebook ? Well, I feel like I did much better there.  Let me share a couple of things that we accomplished over the remainder of 2021 through the sharing of images. We became  certifiable  with our brand new business cards! In June, Spawn and I went on a Girl's Only trip through Utah and Colorado. We met up with some family here and there, but the roads were narrow, winding and sparsely populated. Until we got to the National Parks. You would've thought is was Black Friday with the crowds. Luckily, Spawn managed to fall asleep EVERY SINGLE TIME we got to monuments. So, I didn't feel guilty driving though slowly and goose necking out the windo...

Fire Tour 2020: California (Act 3)

Welcome back to California ! Back in September 2020... As with most extended family vacations, we were beginning to get excited to get home. I mean, we had been on the road for three weeks now. Since we had missed out on Crater Lake, I was adamant about checking out the Lava Fields and Lassen Volcanic National Park. It's like California's very own miniature Yellowstone. We didn't have a safe spot for the trailer without paying for another night at Klamath Falls . They didn't have any vacancies and we didn't have any interest staying again. We had a few choices of campgrounds near Lassen, but it was a Sunday. And a lot of the offices seemed to be closed on Sunday. Except Hat Creek RV . They answered and we booked a few nights. Relief knowing we would be able to check out the area. This whole trip had been a re...

Fire Tour 2020: Oregon (Act 2)

Welcome to  Oregon! We continued our adventure into Oregon, a state I have never been to as an adult. I don’t even remember when I was there as a kid. Once again our trip was impacted by wildfires. The original plan was to visit family in the Eugene/Salem area. But, the highway to Grants Pass had been closed and that also meant we weren’t going to be able to visit the  Oregon Vortex  or the  Enchanted Forest . Boooo! But, the weather was great on the coast. The rain was refreshing. And the bridges were my most favorite thing and one thing I didn't really get great pictures of. Each one was so much more elaborate than my usual SoCal overpass. The drive was absolutely gorgeous and exactly what we were looking for as an alternative to the fast and boring ride of the interstate. Yes, That's a Big AF Bridge (Astoria) Lots of Bridge Construction  If we didn't stay on the coast, we would have never found this little gem: The Prehistoric Gardens . It may look camp...
